Travel Writing
I regularly contribute to visitor guides produced in partnership with People, Inc. integrated travel marketing, dsm Magazine, and other outlets. Assign me a well-researched roundup, first-person narrative, or feature story on a local legend. My kids are tweenagers, and family travel opportunities are a wonderful way to blend work and writing.

Enjoy Illinois
Going Your Park Way
The Midwest is my home, and I was born and raised in Illinois. This project encouraged me to explore outdoor recreation potential across the state. Seeing the gorgeous, multi-spread design in print was an absolute delight.

Luxe Lodging
If only researching luxury resorts involved room service at stays across West Virginia. If you're hosting a FAM trip or media tour in the Mountain State, let's talk! My other stories for this travel guide have included interviewing artisans and covering regional culinary standouts.

Pure Michigan
Essential Elements
This 7-page feature package required researching 25+ must-see destinations and conveying what beach-bound travelers should expect in 40-word blurbs. Tight wordcounts and an expansive topic made this a fun challenge.
dsm Magazine
Lake Life
My editor contacted me with a "half-baked story pitch" and responded to my "Lake Life" draft with "ding-ding, we have a winner!" Here's another travel story for dsm, about overnight experiences at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium.
